Description:

Duties include providing administrative support to CVB Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director / Administration – preparing reports, presentations, correspondence and meeting agendas and packets; recording and transcribing meeting minutes; maintaining databases and contract logs; reviewing local media, trade and other publications for items of interest for executive staff; and assisting with scheduling requests / calendar management and making travel arrangements. Duties also include serving as support to the CVB Board of Directors, its committees and task forces; training, supervising and evaluating assigned support staff; developing, managing and maintaining electronic archives; processing payroll and related paperwork; preparing purchase orders and other financial transactions; providing assistance with budget preparation and RFP processes; and filing, copying and other general clerical tasks. An Associate’s degree or equivalent, and three years of increasingly responsible administrative support experience, as well as a minimum of one year supervisory experience, required. Additional specialized secretarial / administrative professional training and prior experience working with a Board of Directors preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint, and have advanced internet research skills. Working knowledge of project management programs beneficial. Clerical and typing tests may be required.
