Our Tellers perform numerous teller functions including processing deposits, withdrawals, posting to general ledger accounts, cashing negotiable items, processing loan payments, savings bonds, money orders, cashiers checks, and traveler's checks while offering friendly and helpful service to our customers.

Job Responsbilities:

* Follows all security and regulatory procedures, maintains standards in handling a cash drawer and balancing and completes all regulatory forms in an accurate and timely manner.
* Maintains solid knowledge of ViewPoint Bank products and services.
* Provides excellent customer service including making eye contact, smiling, acknowledging customers who might be waiting in line and using the customers name at all times.
* Focuses on every opportunity to ensure that our customers account needs have been met and refers customers to the appropriate department.
* Demonstrates a commitment to the team and success of the overall branch.
* Presents a professional appearance and demeanor at all times to customers and co-workers.

Requirements:

* High school diploma or GED.
* 6 - 12 months of previous cash handling experience required.
* Previous ten-key experience a must.
* Effective communication and customer service skills.
* Experience in handling heavy customer contact.
* Detail oriented.
* Able to multi-task.
