Duties include providing technical leadership for the G.I.S. sections; creating and maintaining G.I.S. configurations and custom programming solutions; producing presentations, reports and spreadsheets; training and supporting City employees in G.I.S. usage; and testing, evaluating, and maintaining new software and equipment. A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in information technology or a closely related field and two years programming experience are required. Programming experience with MS Visual Basic, MS VB.Net, HTML, and JavaScript; and experience in ESRI ArcGIS Server, ESRI ArcInfo, and ESRI ArcView preferred. Experience with Freeance, ESRI Spatial Data Engine, ESRI ArcIMS, Microsoft Virtual Earth, Google Maps, Oracle PL/SQL, and MS Transact-SQL beneficial.
