SH 114 Main, Texpress Lanes: Nightly Full Closures May 18-22

Irving, Texas. May 18, 2020 –

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will fully close State Highway (SH) 114 mainlanes in both directions from Loop 12 to Spur 482, and TEXpress lanes in both directions from Mockingbird Lane to West Walnut Hill Lane from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily for five nights, beginning Monday, May 18 to Friday, May 22, weather permitting, for bridge work. 

Update: In the event of rain during the work period, TxDOT has extended its work schedule through May 28; however, no work will occur on Sunday, May 26.

Detours will be in place during work hours:

• Traffic on eastbound SH 114 will take the westbound SH 183 exit and continue along the frontage road to re-enter eastbound SH 114 just after the Irving Signature Bridge.
• Traffic on westbound SH 114 will take the northbound Loop 12 exit and continue along the frontage road to re-enter westbound SH 114 after the Irving Signature Bridge.

Message boards will be in place to alert drivers. Motorists are advised to expect delays and seek alternate routes when possible.
