Mexican Sugar to Open Second DFW Location in Irving

Mexican Sugar, a restaurant known for fresh, flavorful Latin-inspired cuisine and Tequila Library, will open its second DFW location in Las Colinas at 3215 Regent Boulevard, Irving, Texas 75063. The restaurant will open for curbside and delivery only on June 29 and later open for dine-in on July 20. The location will serve lunch, dinner and weekend brunch once the dining room is open.

Like the original Mexican Sugar location, the 10,793-square-foot and 427 seat Las Colinas location redefines traditional Mexican food while presenting exotic tastes inspired by South and Central America and beyond. All dishes are made-from-scratch and prepared with fresh ingredients to create lighter fare with bold flavor.

The Las Colinas design is Spanish Colonial Revival inspired with crisp white stucco and dramatic brick archways. The layout includes multiple adjoining rooms, patios and courtyards, and was designed to accommodate private events of all kinds. Guests will feel as if they’re stepping into a beautiful old home full of art, bold colors and varied styles as they move from room to room. The restaurant’s six private dining spaces will be a dynamic home to celebrations of all kinds.

Curbside pickup options include curated family-style kits, such as the Enchilada Pack – grilled steak enchiladas, grilled chicken enchiladas, cilantro lime rice, black beans and chips and salsa; Fajita Pack – grilled steak and chicken fajitas, grilled veggies, cilantro lime rice, black beans, pack of tortillas and chips and salsa; Surf & Skewers Pack – crab enchiladas, grilled shrimp skewers, slice of chocolate avocado cake, mango side salad, cilantro lime rice, black beans and chips and salsa; and Happy Hour Margarita Pack – 2 16 oz. margarita mix, 375 mL El Jimador tequila, queso, guacamole, salsa and 2 ice chunks.

Once open for dine-in, guests can indulge in Socialitos (starters) such as the Arepas, Ceviche, Squash Blossom Quesadilla and Guacamole. Popular main courses include Adobo Grilled Carne Asada Fajitas, Brasas Chicken Tacos, Mesquite Grilled Steak, Hamburguesa and Bone-In Pork Chop. Standout weekend brunch items include Cajeta French Toast, Benedictos Rancheros, Chicken Chilaquiles and the Brunch Quesadilla.

Guests will be able to enjoy over 100 tequilas and 30 mezcals in Mexican Sugar’s expansive tequila library and signature craft cocktails from their refreshed beverage menu. Mexican Sugar also offers tequila flights featuring four samples per flight allowing guests to explore the many flavors of a variety of tequilas. Three of Mexican Sugar’s signature margaritas are also available in a flight. The beer and wine selection is heavily influenced by South America and Spain with sangrias also being featured on the drink menu.

Signature drinks include the Hibiscus– Lunazul Reposado, hibiscus-infused water, lime, orange liqueur, simple syrup; Machete– serrano-infused El Jimador blanco, watermelon, cucumber, agave, lime and mint; Margarita Flight – machete, classico, hibiscus; and at brunch guests can enjoy Blanca and Roja sangrias.

Mexican Sugar will be open for curbside pickup from 3-8pm daily. Once open for dine-in the restaurant will be open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.
