Three Irving ISD campuses will remain closed today, March 5, 2025, due to ongoing power outages following Tuesday morning’s storms. Despite overnight efforts by Oncor crews to restore power, Hanes Elementary School, de Zavala Middle School, and Cardwell Career Preparatory Center remain without electricity.
All other Irving ISD schools are operating on a normal schedule. District officials anticipate power will be restored in time for all campuses to reopen on Thursday, March 6.
Parents will receive updates through School Messenger phone calls and emails, as well as via Irving ISD’s social media platforms.
