Three Arrested in Irving Murder of 37-Year-Old Man

Deandre Rashaun Williams, Roderick Wayne Dansby and Kendrick Kavon Perry

Detectives from the Irving Police Department have identified and arrested three suspects involved in the February 23, 2025, shooting and murder of 37-year-old Torrance Sentele Deveroex. The shooting took place at an apartment complex on the 3800 block of Evergreen St. at approximately 5:00 AM.

Though the motive behind the crime remains unclear, the investigation was significantly aided by blurry video footage released by the police, showing the three suspects. The department had asked the public for help identifying the individuals, which led to the suspects' identification and subsequent arrests.

On March 12, 2025, detectives executed a warrant for 26-year-old Deandre Rashaun Williams. During his arrest, authorities recovered a firearm believed to be used in the commission of the murder.

The following day, on March 13, 2025, Irving’s tactical unit executed two additional warrants, resulting in the arrests of 25-year-old Roderick Wayne Dansby and 24-year-old Kendrick Kavon Perry. All three men have been charged with murder.

Currently, Dansby is being held in the Irving Jail, while Williams and Perry have been transported to Dallas County. Perry is also facing a parole violation charge, as he was previously convicted for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and had been on probation since July 2022.

Williams' bond has been set at $500,000. The bonds for Dansby and Perry have not yet been determined.
