Two Grapevine Police officers discovered an unconscious driver inside a running vehicle in a closed garage, preventing what could have been a fatal carbon monoxide poisoning.
Officers Debord and Wadolowski were conducting a follow-up investigation when they found the resident unresponsive behind the wheel. A dangerous buildup of carbon monoxide had accumulated inside the garage.
The officers acted quickly, opening the door to ventilate the space and calling for the fire department and medics. Emergency responders arrived on scene and provided medical attention.
Authorities credit the officers' swift response with potentially saving the driver’s life. The Grapevine Fire Department assisted in the rescue.
