A driver was pronounced deceased at the scene of a serious injury traffic crash this morning after their vehicle overturned and came to rest in a creek in the 2600 block of West Plano Parkway.
At approximately 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, Plano Police Officers and Plano Fire-Rescue personnel were dispatched to the incident. Preliminary investigation indicates that a single vehicle, traveling westbound on West Plano Parkway, left the roadway and ended up in the creek on the north side of the road.
Plano Fire-Rescue located the sole occupant and provided medical aid, but the driver ultimately succumbed to their injuries.
The identity of the deceased driver is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Plano Police Department’s Traffic Unit.
