FORT WORTH, Texas — A 21-year-old man has been charged with murder after his mother was found fatally stabbed inside a north Fort Worth residence Friday night.
At 8:57 p.m. on February 13, 2026, Fort Worth north division officers were dispatched to the 4800 block of Cargill Circle near Heritage Trace Parkway in reference to a cutting call. Upon arrival, officers observed an adult female victim with apparent stab wounds. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 51-year-old Mirlande Derisse Ciprien. Her cause of death was determined to be a stab wound to the neck.
Early details indicate a domestic altercation occurred at the location between the victim, an adult female mother, and the suspect, her adult son.
The adult male suspect was taken to a nearby hospital for a possible self-inflicted wound. He is currently in stable condition and in police custody. Fort Worth police have charged 21-year-old Malachyah Salem Ciprien with murder.
Police said the incident appears to be isolated and domestic-related. Homicide detectives remain on scene investigating.
