IRVING, Texas — A 20 year old man was arrested after Irving police officers discovered cocaine, marijuana and THC products during a patrol investigation at an apartment complex Saturday night, March 7th.
According to police, two officers on patrol at about 10:37 p.m. approached a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of North Irving Heights Drive and made contact with the occupant, identified as Jonathan Ochoa McGuirk.
While speaking with him, officers observed a THC vaporizer pen in his hand. Officers ordered him out of the vehicle and saw a small clear bag containing cocaine residue on the driver’s seat where he had been sitting.
Police then searched Ochoa McGuirk and found another small clear bag containing cocaine in his front left pants pocket.
A K9 unit was called to assist with the investigation. K9 Fenix alerted on the vehicle, giving officers probable cause to conduct a search.
During the search, officers located 14.1 grams of individually packaged cocaine and a large amount of cash inside the vehicle’s center console.
Investigators also found 99.1 grams of marijuana in vacuum sealed bags along with 52 grams of marijuana packaged into 52 separate baggies. In a backpack on the rear seat, officers discovered seven THC vaporizer pens, each containing two grams of THC oil in factory packaging.
Ochoa McGuirk was arrested and booked into the Irving Jail. He was charged with Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance involving cocaine, Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 2 involving THC, and Possession of Marijuana less than five pounds.
The following day, he was transferred to the Dallas County Jail, where he remains in custody without bond.
