IRVING, Texas, March 11, 2026 — One person was killed Wednesday night in a single vehicle crash on Interstate 635, according to the Irving Police Department.
Officers responded at approximately 10 p.m. to the westbound lanes of IH-635, where the crash occurred. Police said the accident involved only one vehicle.
Authorities diverted traffic at State Highway 161 (PGBT) as officers worked to secure the scene and investigate the crash.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 50-year-old Asian man named Van Bawilyan of Bedford, TX.
Crash investigators have arrived at the scene, and the investigation remains ongoing. Police asked drivers to avoid the area while officers continue working the crash site.
