DALLAS, Texas - Dallas police are investigating a homicide after a man was found fatally shot early Tuesday morning in West Dallas.
According to the Dallas Police Department, officers responded at approximately 3:37 a.m. on June 2 to a shooting call in the 1800 block of Sylvan Avenue near Interstate 30.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was later identified as 50-year-old Issac Padilla.
Padilla was pronounced dead at the scene.
On June 4, 2026, 31-year-old David Reyna was arrested by the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force in connection with this case. He is charged with Murder. Additional investigation connected Reyna to a June 2, 2026, shooting incident in the 3800 block of Texas Drive where a man was shot in the leg, documented under case number 079171-2026. Reyna is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon in that case.
The homicide investigation remains active and ongoing.
