On May 6, Irving Sister Cities and the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce hosted a visit of a Delegation of Russian Business Women.
The group is currently on a tour of various locations in the U.S., and stopped by to engage in informal discussions related to the work done by a successful U.S. Chamber of Commerce, such as the Irving Chamber. The Group included representatives from private industry and academia in Russia.
The groups expressed interest in potential cooperative agreements that could lead to trade opportunities.
The Russian Delegation was also able to attend the Cinco de Mayo Celebration at the U.S.-Mexico Cultural & Educational Foundation office on Mandalay Canal, in which the Irving Chamber also participated as co-host.
The visiting Group commented that they enjoyed the whole cultural experience, including music, food, drinks and the great ambiance of the beautiful Mandalay Canal.
