Brandon Stephens and Lopaka Yoro combined for 332 yards and five touchdowns, leading Plano to a 34-20 victory over Irving MacArthur at Clark Field. Stephen's 57 yard gallop on Plano's second possession set up Yoro's first score, a 15 yard dash on third down. After MacArthur's punter was tackled on his 13 yard line, Stephens broke a tackle and scored from 13 yards out to give Plano (1-1) a 14-0 lead.
MacArthur's Kane Hardin led a 13 play, 70 yard drive, culminated by Artiss Henderson's two yard dive that cut the score to 14-6. Just two plays after the kickoff, Yoro scored his second touchdown on a 73 yard run. After a Hardin to Mykeal Webster touchdown pass made the score 20-13, Plano had a chance to score again at the end of the half, but Stephens was tackled at the two-yard line as time expired.
Plano moved the ball methodically in the second half and extended the score to 34-13 behind two more Stephens' touchdowns and a dominating Plano defense that allowed -2 yards to MacArthur (0-2) in the third quarter.
Hardin finished with 237 passing yards and two touchdown passes, both to Webster who caught seven balls for 147 yards.
