Chipotle Mexican Grill brings its Cultivate Festival series to Irving for its southern debut from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 18 at Lake Carolyn in the Las Colinas Urban Center. Best of all, admission to the massive foodie party is free.

Hosted by the City of Irving, the one-day festival includes cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs, live music, local food artisans, regional beer and wines, a special Chipotle festival menu, a Kids’ Zone, and more. Admission is free.

The musical line-up features Amos Lee, O.A.R., MS MR, Sylvan Esso, and The Colourist. Celebrity chefs include Matt McCallister (FT33 in Dallas); Omar Flores (Casa Rubia in Dallas); Kent Rathbun (Abacus in Dallas and Jasper’s in Plano, Houston and Austin); Paul Qui (Qui and East Side King in Austin); Sean Brock (Husk in Charleston and Nashville, and McCrady’s in Charleston); and Amanda Freitag (Empire Diner in New York).

Chipotle partnered with Lakewood Brewing Company of Garland, Texas, to produce a one-of-a-kind “Cultivate Farmhouse Ale” that will be exclusively poured along with a special ice cream flavor from
Ben & Jerry’s to the first 1,000 attendees who arrive at the event.

In addition, Chipotle’s culinary team created a special menu featuring: Pork belly or Barbacoa Gorditas; Grilled chicken or Sofritas Tacos; Baby Kale and Roasted Corn Salad; and a Jasmine Rice Bowl with Pork and Chicken Meatballs, or Organic Tofu from ShopHouse Southeast Asian Kitchen, Chipotle’s Asian concept.
