Investor News: Teen Tyme Productions, Inc.

Tampa Bay, Fla.-based Teen Tyme Productions, Inc., positive television programming for teenagers has opened its third satellite office in Irving.

In the Dallas-Fort Worth market, Teen Tyme has teamed up with History of Television (Hot TV), a network founded by Fred Hutton to enhance positive television programming for teenagers and families in North Texas.

“We are very excited about introducing ‘Just Teens TV’ to the D-FW market,” said Stacey Spencer, show founder, host and producer. “Our mission — to educate, encourage and empower the youth of today to be the leaders of tomorrow — has been well received in other markets and we feel this is a crucial time to reach out to the Dallas teens.”

Hot TV has been on the air in Dallas and Fort Worth for seven years, and is simulcast in Seattle, Sacramento and Las Vegas.

Teen Tyme will air Saturdays at 9 a.m. CST beginning Oct. 4 on KODF 26.4 (licensed to Britton), K31GL 31.2 and 31.3 (licensed to Desoto), and on KATA 50.4 (licensed to Mesquite). These are all digital sub-channels and various run times will be simulcast in the other partnering markets. Teen Tyme will be available via Video On-Demand at www.teentyme.com.

The program, “Just Teens TV,” is a popular news, information and educational show that empowers youthby showcasing their talents and providing a forum to discuss issues and current events that are important to them. This season, “Just Teens TV” will feature an in-depth interview with Teresa Scanlan, Miss America 2011—the youngest woman to wear the crown in more than 70 years and the first Miss Nebraska to become Miss America.

The program is hoping to attract bigger media outlets and major sponsors to create new seasonal material utilizing teens in North Texas. To sponsor programming, visit www.teentyme.com. Major sponsors will receive a gift from Teen Tyme for their support.

Teen Tyme began 14 years ago in Louisville, Ky.

“With so much violence, negative messages and bad behavior being shown on television these days, we’re thrilled to provide a positive alternative to young people who don’t engage in destructive behavior and hope by doing so, we reach teens who will reconsider their attitude and reject negative influences,” said Spencer.  “Our entire team is honored to serve all youth by providing positive television programs through the wonderful vehicle of broadcast media.”
