Irving Chamber’s Women’s Alliance Scholarship Luncheon raises $3,000 for Irving Schools Foundation scholarships

The Greater Irving – Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Alliance raised the remaining funds needed for two $1,500 scholarships for Irving Independent School District students at their Women’s Alliance Scholarship Luncheon on Oct. 22 at La Cima Club.

The Women’s Alliance Scholarship Fund raised the first portion of the scholarships at a silent auction networking event on July 9. The two $1,500 scholarships will be awarded to two deserving Irving Independent School District students through the Irving Schools Foundation.

Charlotte Jones Anderson, executive vice president and chief brand officer of the Dallas Cowboys Football Club, served as the luncheon’s keynote speaker. Anderson discussed her father’s decision to purchase the Dallas Cowboys and her role in helping the football club establish the Thanksgiving Day game’s halftime show featuring the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign Kick-Off.
