Real Tea with a Virtual Washington Irving

Spend a bit of time with Washington Irving on Friday, April 24th, at Glory House Bistro, 109 South Main. The tea will be poured at 3pm and a delicious menu of mini quiche, scones, fruit skewers, capries on a stick, and chicken salad will be served. Advanced reservations and a $5 donation are required to attend. Call the Irving Heritage Society at 972-252-3838 today. Seating is limited.

Washington Irving aka Dr. John Dennis Anderson has traveled throughout the United States visiting various communities. On the 24th, he will visit Irving, Texas, via a Google Hangout. Following his presentation, guests will be able to ask him questions about his life, travels and works. As the First American Man of Letters, he is certain to have some interesting tales to share.

The event is sponsored by the Irving Heritage Society, the Irving Public Library, the Irving Independent School District, the Irving Black Arts Program and the City of Irving as part of the Celebrating Irving: The City and The Man. For more information on this unique event, contact 972-252-3838.
