City Opens New Recycling Drop-Off Station

The City of Irving’s Solid Waste Services department announced the opening of a new recycling drop-off station for residents. The drop-off station is located at the Irving Hunter Ferrell Landfill, 220 W. Hunter Ferrell Road, and is accessible from 7 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. daily, except for city holidays.

Irving will continue operating its convenient Curbside Recycling Program, where recyclable items are picked up alongside refuse once a week during residents’ scheduled collection days. Residents who want to find their recycling collection days or more details about the curbside program should contact Solid Waste Services at (972) 721-8059.

The drop-off station is an added benefit for residents who are not serviced by the city’s scheduled trash pickup.

Items that can be recycled both at the drop-off station and curbside include aluminum and steel food cans, plastic and glass containers, paper and more. View a full list of recyclable items online.
