In the latest City Spectrum, Irving thanks everyone who participated in the Vision Survey and reports that the results will be available online soon.
The city also announces that the Imagine Irving team has been working with property owners to develop a plan for the former stadium site. This 1,000-acre site, at the crossroads of several freeways, is a prime location for development. It could generate between a quarter and a third of the city’s new growth over the next two decades.
The new plan, known as Planned Unit Development, hopes to encourage development with a walkable urban neighborhood containing offices, shopping, housing and open space, close to the DART Orange Line and connected to Campion Trail.
