Students in the Aviation Sciences Academy at Irving High School will have an opportunity to build a small aircraft, thanks to a top flight donation. Steve Carter at Hicks Airfield donated two BD5 airplane kits, a value of more than $24,000. The kits are housed at the Aviation Institute of Maintenance, the technical college where Advanced Aviation students from Irving High School meet.
