Patty Bustamante, who has served as director of world languages the past year, has been named the division director of specialized learning services for Irving ISD. In her new role, Bustamante will oversee the district’s special education, world languages, gifted and talented, and response to intervention programs. With 18 years of experience in Irving ISD, Bustamante has worked as a principal, assistant principal and bilingual teacher for third, fourth and fifth grades.
