2 Volleyball Players and 2 Swimmers Sign to Compete at Collegiate Level


Irving, Texas. April 20, 2017

This month, four student athletes inked letters of intent to compete at the collegiate level.

From the Nimitz High School volleyball squad, Bre’Ala Box will take her talents to Lamar University and Tatiyania Benavides to McMurry University. 

In addition, Madeline Benitez, captain of the Nimitz girls’ swim team, has earned a scholarship to Oklahoma Christian University (OCU). Benitez is the first student from Nimitz to sign in swimming.

Benitez will be joined at OCU by Irving High School’s Christian Ruiz, who also earned a swimming scholarship.
