Irving ISD Stars Special Olympics teams shined under the track lights at the Middle School City Track Meet, held May 4 at Irving Schools Stadium.
The district’s Special Olympics athletes ran a 4x100-meter relay and were then recognized on the middle of the football field.
The Nimitz team ran a personal best time of 59.54 seconds to win the gold.
Members of the winning team are Marquise McCain, Alex Santivanez, Cristopher Fuentes and Daniel Correa.
