Canales Furniture will contribute home furnishings to The Family Place at its grand opening event this Saturday, June 17 in Irving, TX. The Family Place works to eliminate family violence and offers assistance for victims and their families in the DFW area. Canales Furniture is a family owned and operated furniture company that started in 2003 in Arlington, Texas.
Canales Furniture actively supports the community with cash contributions to area non-profits and furniture donations to families who have lost their homes to a fire. In addition to the furniture contribution, Canales Furniture delivers these items to the families at no cost. The partnership with The Family Place allows Canales Furniture to support families who are on track to rebuilding their home life. “When a client from The Family Place leaves our shelter to begin a new life, we try our best to provide them with everything they need for their new home. Partnering with Canales Furniture will allow us to provide furnishings, such as table and chairs, for our families,” said Meg Bittner, Volunteer and InKind Donations Manager for The Family Place.
About The Family Place
The Family Place operates the largest emergency shelter services for victims of family violence in North Texas. Currently we have a total of 111 beds at our Safe Campus, 22 beds at our men’s shelter, the first in the state, and 47 beds at our new emergency shelter at Ann Moody Place. All facilities can add cribs as needed.
