Reward Offered for Texas Top 10 Wanted Fugitive from Irving

Texas Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $5,000 for information that leads to the capture of one of the Texas Top 10 Wanted Fugitives.  

25 year-old Jorge Luis Gardado is affiliated with the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang and has ties to Irving, Texas. Guardado was born in Dallas, Texas.

The Mara Salvatrucha is an international criminal gang that originated in Los Angeles, California, US in the 1980s.  Most members originate from El Savador.  They are notorious for their use of violence and a subcultural moral code that predominantly consists of merciless revenge and cruel retributions. 

In April 2016, Guardado was involved in an incident in Irving in which he allegedly struck a male subject with a metal pole, causing serious bodily injury to the victim.

On July 7, 2016, the Dallas County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for Guardado's arrest for Aggravated Assault Causes Serious Bodily Injury. Guardado has also been wanted out of Dallas County for Probation Violation (Original Offense: Assault) since August 2014.

Guardado may be using an alias name of "Jorge Sanchez."

To be eligible for the cash rewards, tipsters must provide information to authorities using one of the five following methods:

  • Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
  • Text the letters DPS – followed by your tip – to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cell phone.
  • Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture.
  • Submit a Facebook tip by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link (under the “About” section).
  • Submit a tip through the DPS Mobile App. The app is currently available for iPhone users on the Apple App Store: and for Android users on Google Play.

All tips are anonymous - regardless of how they are submitted, and tipsters will be provided a tip number instead of using a name.
