The City of Irving’s annual Laughs by the Lake outdoor comedy show returns to the shores of Lake Carolyn on Friday, Sept. 1. This year, event organizers are searching for the funniest stand-up comedians in North Texas to compete in a comedy showcase at the beginning of the show. Audience members will vote for the funniest five-minute set. If you think you have what it takes, submit your entry using the online form. Submissions must be received by Friday, July 21.

Immediately following the showcase, attendees will be treated to great performances by three top professional stand-up comedians.
Headliner Ben Bailey is best known as the host of the popular game show "Cash Cab," for which he won three Daytime Emmy Awards. Bailey has appeared on multiple morning and late night shows, hosted "Who’s Still Standing" (NBC) and "After the Catch" (Discovery), and released several comedy specials. He is joined by comedians Dorie McLemore and Troy Walker for a dynamic, hilarious evening of entertainment.
