Irving To Help Harvey Evacuees By Providing Temporary Housing

Irving, Texas. August 28, 2017

Irving will be accepting approximately 200 evacuees Aug. 28 for temporary housing at Lively Pointe Youth Center, 909 N O'Connor Road. The evacuees will be flown in from the Houston area to Dallas Love Field Airport.

Irving plans to shelter the evacuees until the city of Dallas opens the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas, where current plans call for them to be transferred.

At this time, the City of Irving is not able to accept volunteers or donations for the affected evacuees.

For those interested in helping residents affected by Tropical Storm Harvey, the best way to assist is by donating to the American Red Cross and/or The Salvation Army.
