Lively Park, Skate Park, Youth Center Temporarily Closed

Irving, Texas. September 4, 2017

The City of Irving is providing temporary housing for Hurricane Harvey evacuees at Lively Pointe Youth Center. As a result, Lively Park, the skate park and the Lively Pointe Youth Center are closed to the public, and all Lively programs are cancelled.

Irving plans to shelter the evacuees until further notice. The facility is not accepting walk-ins or evacuees in private vehicles. Individuals needing shelter are encouraged to call 211 for a list of available shelter locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

At this time, the City of Irving is unable to accept volunteers or donations for the affected evacuees. For those interested in helping, the best way to assist is by donating to Irving Cares, the American Red CrossThe Salvation Army and the SPCA of Texas.
