University of Dallas ranks among top Catholic schools in U.S.

The University of Dallas is among the best Catholic colleges in America.

That’s the word from Niche.com and its ranking of the 2018 Best Catholic Colleges in America. Niche ranked the schools based on key statistics and student reviews using data from the U.S. Department of Education. “The top-ranked Catholic colleges are leading academic institutions that offer students an education and college experience rooted in Catholic traditions and faith,” it said.

As for the Irving-based school, the university ranks No. 26 on the list, earning an overall A-minus grade. That includes A-minus grades for academics and value, B-plus grades for diversity and party scene, a C-plus for athletics and a C for the campus.

The University of Dallas accepts 64 percent of applicants and costs roughly $27,029 per year to attend.

The top-ranked Catholic college is the University of Notre Dame, followed by Georgetown University and Boston College.
