Congratulations to Nimitz High School students Maritza Mendeza, Melissa Ferrufino and Vanesa Castillo for snagging the gold, silver and bronze in their age category at the Dash for Dignity, held Saturday at Dallas Medical Center. They were a part of a group of student council, cross country and yearbook staff members from Nimitz who participated in the event orchestrated by Achieve. The mission of the organization is to empower adults with disabilities and our veterans to reach their highest level of independence and employment.
