Five MacArthur musicians received positions in this year’s Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Region 20 All-Region Jazz Band. As part of the honor, the students will work with clinicians Jonathan Adamo and Micah Bell and perform with other young musicians in a free concert this December. Sophomores David Olguin and Kevin Smith (2nd Tenor) and senior Jacob Worrall (Bari Sax) made jazz band 1 as well as All-Area, putting them one step closer to a possible place in the All-State band. Sophomore Erik Cruz (Bass Trombone 1) and senior Brian Tafran (2nd Trombone) also made jazz band 2.
