A ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the newly renovated natatorium at North Lake College is at 10 a.m. Monday, November 6, at the North Lake College Natatorium. The ceremony also celebrates a partnership between Irving ISD, the city of Irving and North Lake College. Irving ISD students participate in aquatics programs at the natatorium to learn swimming skills and water safety as part of physical education curriculum. A master swimmer from Pirouettes of Texas will perform an award-winning two-minute solo, and a duet will perform a two-minute routine that took third at Junior Nationals last year. There will also be refreshments prepared by the national award-winning culinary program from Singley Academy.
