Travis Teacher Earns Scholarship

Travis Middle School ELAR teacher April Clements was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s (USHMM) Levine Institute for Holocaust Education. As a recipient, Ms. Clements will head to Washington, D.C. in July to attend the 2018 Arthur and Rochelle Belfer National Conference for Educators. The conference will bring together museum staff, historians and educators from across the country to discuss new approaches to teaching about the Holocaust through social studies and history.
