Irving, Texas. July 2, 2018

A new line of luxury homes has debuted at the Stonegate development in Irving, creating greater choice for buyers looking for houses in the $500,000 range.

Darling Homes, a division of Scottsdale, Ariz-based Taylor Morrison Home Corp., unveiled this week the so-called Founders Collection, a collection of 70 homes ranging from 2,326 square feet to 3,310 square feet.

The developer is selling three, four and five bedroom homes with between two and a half and four and a half bathrooms. The houses include master bedroom suites, game rooms, media rooms and yards. The development is located in the Coppell Independent School District.

The development is close to commercial centers like Las Colinas and new entertainment centers in Irving such as the Toyota Music Factory. Residents will also have easy highway access to both DFW International Airport and Dallas Love Field.

The home builder, which has several housing developments across the metro area, has been expanding in Dallas-Fort Worth for decades, a company spokesperson said. It's preparing to offer a fleet of similar high-end homes in the Allen community of Montgomery Farm near the Connemara Meadow Nature Preserve.

The New York Stock Exchange-listed company's stock has hovered around $21 a share all week, but slipped below that threshold today.

Irving is one of many D-FW suburbs gaining new residents hand over fist. The city grew by 11 percent from 2010 to 2017. The median home value in the city is $147,500.
