Bunsri Trivedi from Irving recently graduated from North Hills Preparatory and just earned her Gold Award, the highest achievement in Girl Scouts.
Open only to girls in high school, the Girl Scout Gold Award is the most prestigious —and the most difficult to earn — award in the world for girls. To earn her Gold Award, Bunsri educated people about the lack of resources and eye care available for residents of third world countries, and she collected nearly 200 pairs of donated eye glasses for the medical school there.
Bunsri has focused on eye care in third world countries. She worked to raise awareness of the lack of resources and medical care available for residents. Bunsri also encouraged people to donate their no longer used eye glasses to be shipped to a medical school for distribution there. Almost 200 pairs of glasses were delivered to the medical school.
Additionally, Bunsri strove to educate people about the lack of resources and medical eye care available in these areas, and she hoped that her donation of 200 eye glasses would make a small impact on the lack of resource there.
