During a special-called meeting last Thursday, the Irving ISD Board of Trustees voted to consider internal candidates for the Superintendent of Schools position before conducting a statewide or national search. The application process for internal candidates is open and will close Friday, November 16.
The community is invited to submit their input regarding the desired qualities and characteristics for the district’s next educational leader through an input form developed by the board. In addition, the board will host three community meetings to provide parents, staff, students and the community an opportunity to ask questions and complete the input form. The community meetings are scheduled as follows:
Tuesday, November 13 - 6 p.m. at J. Haley Elementary School cafeteria
Wednesday, November 14 - 6 p.m. at Travis Middle School cafeteria
Thursday, November 15 - 6 p.m. at Irving High School cafeteria
