Irving ISD formally recognized and celebrated the work of the board of trustees last Tuesday during the regularly scheduled board meeting. In addition to student-created artwork from students in the Nimitz cluster and a performances by the bell ringers from Elliott Elementary School, the recognition included this photo slideshow featuring our schools. Also at the meeting, students from Johnston Elementary School led the pledges, and the board recognized three staff members of the month:
Teacher of the Month - Kendrick Taylor, special education teacher at Nimitz High School
Employee of the Month - Brenda Anderson, buyer in the district’s purchasing department
Guest Educator of the Month - Armando Robles, nominated by Hanes Elementary School
