In the early morning hours of March 1, 2019, Irving officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire in South Irving. Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Senter Road (between Vilbig Street and Oakdale Road) at 5:54 am. 911 callers reported a man in the street suffering from a gunshot would. That man told officers that two suspects had broken into his home and he exchanged gunfire with one of them. He also told officers that one of the suspects was still inside the house and the other had ran away.
Officers found the suspect inside the house suffering from a gunshot would. Both injured subjects were taken to Parkland Hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.
