Darling Homes Opens New Communities in Irving, Houston

Darling Homes, the corporate sibling of Taylor Morrison Homes Corp. (NYSE:TMHC), is opening new communities in the Houston and Dallas metro areas.

Darling Homes is bringing its new Modernist Collection to Parkland Village in Bridgeland, with pre-sales now underway.

The builder’s Modernist Collection features modern designs that offer more open spaces and volume than traditional designs. Each home is designed to carry and cast both natural and artificial light and shadow throughout the interior spaces.

“The Modernist Collection is truly something special,” said Amy Rino, president of Taylor Morrison and Darling Homes in Houston. “Each home offers finishes and fixtures that create a true showcase for a home buyer. Whether it’s through large format stone tiles or hardwoods through the first floor, each home leaves a memorable impression on visitors.”

Each home will include features such as two bedrooms on the first floor, an owner’s bedroom suite, expansive open-concept living spaces, three-car garages and game and media rooms. Pricing starts in the $420,000s.

“Each outdoor living space blends with indoor spaces to create a connected environment,” Rino said.

The new collection of homes will be located on the water and in close proximity to the new Parkland Village Activity Center, offering home buyers all of the perks of owning a Darling home as well as a suburban setting that will provide quick access to nature, highly regarded schools and a slightly more urban home design.

Parkland Village at Bridgeland will feature hiking and biking trails, a fitness center and 900 acres of lakes and waterways that will provide many opportunities for outdoor activities and relaxation in nature. Other community highlights include a kayak launch, a beautiful resort-style swimming complex, a basketball court and an event hall and lawn.

Darling Homes also is bringing its brand-new City Collection of homes to the highly desirable area of Las Colinas in Irving.

The Terraces at Las Colinas brings the Dallas home builder’s latest collection of floor plans to one of the city’s most recognizable locations.

Built for luxury living on the go, the City Collection offers home buyers suburban comfort in an urban setting. Homes are designed with architectural authenticity and are built in communities that give residents convenient access to an active lifestyle.

The Terraces at Las Colinas is a mixed-use community that provides the best in urban living. The community includes urban walkability, a community park, terrific dining and shopping options as well as access to Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD facilities. In addition, the community is less than 30 minutes from downtown Dallas, Coppell, Grapevine and Southlake.

“For home buyers looking for a vibrant lifestyle just beyond their front door, this community delivers,” said Karla Horton, vice president of sales and marketing for Darling Homes’ and Taylor Morrison’s Dallas division. “And it does so with a collection of homes that couples a low-maintenance lifestyle with home designs that offer maximum livability.”

Covered front porches and courtyards help to create a unique and distinctive streetscape lined with traditional, Mediterranean, Craftsman, International and Modern elevations. The two-story floor plans range from approximately 2,200 to 2,600 square feet of living space. The homes are expected to start from the low $400,000s.

Open-concept living rooms, filled with natural light, thoughtfully transition to breakfast areas and gourmet kitchens, while second-floor game rooms situated in lofted spaces offer views of the first floor. Private studies, master suites with walk-in closets and spacious bedrooms create homes that leave a lasting impression. Outside, private courtyards add to the experience of the homes, which feature a zero-lot line.
