DFW Area Airports to Receive $28.7M Federal Grant

The Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport was awarded a $23,194,426 federal grant to rehabilitate 4,000 feet of taxiway to extend the useful life of the payment and the Fort Worth Alliance Airport was awarded $5,500,000 to extend its taxiway, U.S. Sen. John Cornyn announced today. The funding comes through the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP).

“Access to safe and efficient infrastructure is critical as so many Texans travel for work, leisure, and visiting loved ones,” said Sen. Cornyn. “I proudly supported this funding in the Senate, and I thank President Trump and Secretary Chao for supporting the safety of Texans travelling to and from the Dallas-Fort Worth area.”
