The new 64-space cell phone lot on the south end of the airport, located east of the South Shell station and across the street from the new post office, provides customers a safe and convenient area to park before picking up family, friends and business associates. The new lot is open 24 hours a day, includes ample lighting, and an emergency blue light phone.
The South Cell Phone Lot is a direct response to customer demand for an easily accessible waiting area for people who are picking up arriving customers. It also provides a safe option for motorists who previously parked on the shoulder of the road, close to the airport entrance.
The new lot will help with curbside congestion and decrease pollution from vehicle circulation in the terminal areas. Its proximity also will reduce the time customers spend in terminal parking garages when meeting arriving passengers.
Vehicles in the lot must be attended by a driver at all times, and parking is limited to two hours. Posted parking rates will continue to apply to vehicles as they enter and exit the Airport plazas.
