Three Teens at Johnson Middle School Charged with Invasive Visual Recording

According to Irving Police, a compromising picture was taken at Lady Bird Middle School in Irving on Friday, September 27.   A 13-year-old student took a picture of an 11-year old special needs boy while he was using the bathroom.   The teen then shared the picture with two other 13-year old students.  

As a result, Police are charging the three juvenile student with Invasive Visual Recording.   The school resource officer worked with Irving ISD administrators to identify the juveniles involved. 

This is an on-going investigation but the police department believes all persons involved have been identified.

The Irving ISD released the following statement:

We are aware of the incident last week involving three students at Johnson Middle School sharing a photo of another student. While we cannot discuss any specifics regarding the situation due to privacy law, we are taking the situation very seriously. The students involved have received appropriate discipline as outlined by local laws and our Student Code of Conduct, and the Irving Police Department has filed charges on the students. At Johnson Middle School and in Irving ISD, we take all bullying allegations seriously, and we are committed to helping prevent bullying on our campus.
