Parkland limiting visitors, suspending participation in community events

As suspected cases of the coronavirus have reached North Texas, leaders at Parkland Health & Hospital System have implemented restrictions to limit the number of visitors in all Parkland facilities including Parkland Memorial Hospital at 5200 Harry Hines Blvd. as well as all of the system’s neighborhood-based Community Oriented Primary Care health centers.

For the time being, all patients will be limited to one visitor. While Parkland staff understands the importance of visitors and loved ones, we want to take all precautions for everyone who enters our doors.

Additionally, for the safety and well-being of patients, visitors and staff, effective immediately Parkland is suspending participation in community events, health fairs and public speaking engagements until further notice. This is a necessary step to ensure the health of those Parkland serves. Parkland will resume participation in community events soon.
