Dallas Lowriders Will Cruise for the Census on July 12th

Thousands of North Texas families have yet to respond to the 2020 U.S. Census, so the Dallas County Counts! campaign is taking its outreach efforts on the road.

The United Lowriders Association will lead Dallas County Commissioner for District 4 Elba Garcia and other community leaders in a lowrider cruise through Oak Cliff to promote the importance of filling out the 2020 Census. Free WiFi and Census information will be provided at two stops along the way.

An accurate count of the Dallas County population in the 2020 Census will ensure that when the allocation of resources and funds is determined, our community will receive what it needs for everything from schools, hospitals and roads to emergency response and disaster relief. As of June 17, 2020, only 57.5% of Dallas County residents had completed their questionnaires. If large portions of the population go uncounted, Dallas County could lose billions in resources.
