Irving COVID-19 Testing Site Ending Test Operations July 31

Dallas County’s University of Dallas (UD), 1845 E. Northgate Drive, Lot B, drive-thru COVID-19 testing site will be ending its testing operations 1 p.m. July 31, and this testing site will be moved to another location beginning in August. The county will be announcing details on the new testing location at a later date. 

Irving residents are encouraged to visit UD for a free COVID-19 test through July 31. The UD testing location is open 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Saturday, or until the 500 daily test limit has been met. Testing is free and available for Dallas County residents only. No appointment necessary. 

Testing criteria for individuals are as follows:

  • Must be a city of Dallas or Dallas County resident with address verification (example: utility bill, academic records, library card).
  • Persons with symptoms of potential COVID-19 infection, including: fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, new loss of taste or smell, vomiting or diarrhea, and/or sore throat, or
  • Anyone 65-years-old or older, or
  • Anyone with chronic health issues (diabetes, asthma, heart issues, etc.), or
  • Any first responders, DART drivers, healthcare workers, grocery store and essential retail store workers, or
  • Persons without symptoms who have been actively engaged in large group settings, such as public gatherings or congregations of people within the past 15 days.
