Irving Police Arrests Teen in Murder Case

On Sunday, February 21, 2021, at 9:05 p.m., the Irving Police Department responded to a fight call in the 4200 block of Reserve Way. Dispatch informed officers that the fight was outside, and the caller believed one person was shot. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Keenon Culver, 35-years of age, lying on the sidewalk bleeding from a single gunshot wound to his chest. Irving Fire Department rushed Culver to Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation led to evidence identifying Ghaza Harris, 18-years of age as the suspected shooter. Investigators issued a murder warrant for Harris, and on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, Harris turned himself in at a Dallas Police substation for his warrant. Irving Police responded to the substation, placed Harris in custody, and transported him to the Irving City Jail.
