The City of Irving has so many amazing volunteers who devote so much of their time to residents. The Diversity and Inclusion Committee invited our Active Adult Volunteers to receive recognition for their service.
For 50 years Mary Higbie has called Irving home and is currently involved with the Irving Heritage Society, Friends of the Irving Museums, Entertainment Series of Irving and the Northwest Place Neighborhood Association.
"The people are the best reward. I have met so many wonderful, long lasting friends through the various volunteer activities over the years. There is no better experience than being part of a successful project and getting to know the others who share your passion for something", said Mary Higbie.
It's quality people like Mary that makes Irving a great city to live in!
