The Irving Police Department is investigating multiple reports of a Terroristic Threat made on social media towards Nimitz High School yesterday, August 29, 2021, involving a picture of a rifle round and a presumed grenade. The juvenile male students were contacted that made the threat, and the grenade was a car accessory gear shifter. There is no continued threat towards Nimitz High School or any other Irving ISD school.
This investigation is ongoing both criminally and administratively by Irving ISD.
